Finally, after much anticipation, Tata Motors has unveiled its newest electric vehicle, the Punch EV, in the country. The company has also commenced its bookings and is witnessing a healthy demand for it. At the moment, Tata Motors has not revealed the pricing for the Punch EV. However, some people who have booked this new electric micro-SUV have reported that they have received the pricing for their booked vehicles in an email. Taking cognizance of this price leak, Tata Motors has stated that this is a technical glitch, and they are addressing it.

The pricing for the Tata Punch EV has been leaked on X (formerly Twitter) by Tesla Club India on their page. The page has shared the pricing details for two variants of the Punch EV. The first post stated, “Our friend and team member @Hariraj_Rathod just booked Tata Punch EV Long Range Empowered+ with Sunroof (so top model with a 3.3kW charger). Although Tata hasn’t revealed the prices yet, he received an email showing the Total price ₹16,13,729.”

Meanwhile, the other post from Tesla Club India shared the pricing of the Adventure LR variant of the Punch EV. The post stated that this variant booked with the inclusion of a 3.3 kW charger had a quoted ex-showroom price of Rs 13,73,846. The Adventure variant is the second-to-base variant and offers features like cruise control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a bejeweled knob, and a few others.

The official X account of Tata EV has taken cognizance of this price leak and has commented on the post shared by Tesla Club India. The company has stated, “Technical hiccup alert! Tata Punch EV pricing
At this point in time, Tata EV has given a generic reply and has not discarded or validated the leaked pricing. So it is hard to say if the pricing will be exactly this or not. However, most likely, the pricing seems to fall in the correct range, as the Tata Tiago EV, which is the brand’s most affordable model, is priced between Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 12.04 lakh. And the most expensive model in its EV lineup, the Nexon EV, is priced at Rs 14.74 lakh and Rs 19.94 lakh. The all-new Punch EV falls right in between these two models, making the leaked price appear to be real. However, we will have to wait for the company’s official price announcement.
Tata Punch EV
At the moment, Tata Motors has not revealed all the details about the Punch EV. However, it has been announced by the company that this new EV micro-SUV will be feature-packed. The list of its features includes a new floating-type 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Tata’s new UI, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, multiple voice assistants, ventilated leatherette front seats, an inbuilt air purifier, an electric sunroof, multi-mode regen, a jeweled control knob for the LR version, a fully digital instrument cluster, a wireless phone charger, connected car features, and more.
The exact powertrain details of the Tata Punch EV have also not been revealed. However, it has been revealed that it will come with two battery pack options, which will be its MR (medium range) and LR (long range) options. The MR could come with a 25 kWh battery, meanwhile, the LR could come with a 35 kWh battery. Range on both models could be around 330 km and 460 km, respectively.
