These stunt doubles are usually trained professionals who get the job done without any errors. However, there are some actors who are so passionate that they do the stunts themselves. Here, we have a video where Tamil movie star Ajith Kumar pulled off a car stunt himself without the help of a body double.

The video was shared by Lyca Productions on their X profile. There are three clips posted online. The first angle is from the cabin, the second is from outside, and the third angle was recorded using a drone camera. This was probably done to ensure that the editors have shots from all angles when they sit at the table.

For those who don’t know, Ajith Kumar is one of the few actors in the country who is trained to be a car racer professionally. He drove in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships and has also raced in the 2010 Formula 2 Championship. This shows how much he loves cars and bikes. In the first clip, we see the actor posing for the camera while his co-passenger is also seen acting according to the situation.
If you look carefully, Ajith Kumar is swerving the car left and right quite aggressively. This is done to make sure that the car loses control. Towards the end of the clip, we see the car toppling. It is only in the next angle that you realize that the actor was actually driving a Hummer H3 SUV. It is a huge SUV and it was running on huge wheels too.
As this was an SUV, swerving the car left and right would help them lose control more easily. The actor drove the SUV to the gravel section for the shot. After a couple of maneuvers, the SUV lost control and fell off the road. If you look carefully, the road on which this sequence was shot was closed for this purpose, in order to avoid any accidents.
The exact location where this video was shot is not known. As soon as the car toppled, the crew ran towards the car to check on the actors. Only a few actors in the country can do such stunts, as they are extremely risky, and Ajith Kumar is one of them.
In Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is known to do such stunts for movies, and similarly, in the Malayalam film industry, actor Mammootty did a car stunt with a Ford Mustang for one of his movies.
Ajith Kumar, or better known as Thala Ajith, also loves motorcycles a lot. He recently founded a new company that goes well with his passion for motorcycling. The actor started a company named Venus Motorcycle Tours that organizes such rides. He recently took a group to explore the Western Ghats.
