The production of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale is ending. That was expected as Maranello is already working on the replacement. It’s more likely to be a mid-cycle refresh rather than a new-gen supercar, and might debut around February 2025.
The SF90 Stradale was Ferrari’s first series production mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar. Introduced in 2019, it was available as a coupe (Stradale) and Spider. More recently, Ferrari introduced the SF90 XX – a limited-edition track-focused version.
Powering the SF90 was a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, producing 769 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It is supported by two electric motors mounted on the front axle and a single motor in the transmission. The result was a combined output of 986 hp. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. A 7.9 kWh battery pack gave it an electric-only range of 16 miles.
The replacement for the SF90 has already been spotted in Maranello. It is expected to feature a few cosmetic changes while retaining the overall shape of the car. It is likely to use the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain as the outgoing model.
