All-New 2025 Renault Duster Officially Revealed: India Launch Next Year

Renault announced last year that they would be launching the next-generation Duster in India. Renault’s sister brand Dacia revealed the next-generation Duster last year, and the SUV will go on sale in international markets this year. Renault has now unveiled their version of the Duster, which is likely to be the same as the one coming to India. The upcoming Renault Duster has minor cosmetic changes compared to the version sold by Dacia.

The Renault Duster features a new front grille with Renault lettering instead of the Dacia logo. In the images, we do not see any Renault logo at the front; however, the tailgate does have one. The SUV also gets Renault’s new logo at the rear. Other than these minor changes, everything else appears to remain the same as the Dacia Duster.

It takes inspiration from the Bigster concept. The signature boxy design that defines an SUV can be seen here as well. The SUV has a rugged-looking exterior design with Y-shaped LED DRLs that meet the garnish on the front grille. The headlamps are placed just under the DRLs, and it also gets a muscular-looking bumper with fog lamps integrated into it. The skid plate is finished in a manner that outlines the lower airdam.

Moving to the side profile, the design remains the same as the Dacia Duster. It features vertical black garnish on the front door with Duster branding. The thick black cladding that runs across the lower part of the car adds to the muscular look. The rear door handles are integrated into the C-Pillar of the SUV. Roof rails and 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels can also be seen in the picture. It should be noted that this is an international-spec version, and the Indian version might have minor changes.

The Renault Duster features Y-shaped LED tail lamps, similar to the LED DRLs. Renault Duster branding is visible at the back of the car. On the inside, the car remains the same as the Dacia Duster. It comes with a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, automatic climate control, AC vents with Y-shaped design elements, a flat top and bottom steering wheel with multi-function buttons, and more. The Duster’s higher variant will also offer features like an electronic parking brake and ADAS features such as AEB, traffic sign recognition, lane change warning assist, and more. Whether these features will come to India remains to be seen.

The Renault Duster is based on the CMF-B platform that underpins various models globally. When it comes to engine options, Renault will not offer diesel engine options with any of the variants. Internationally, the Renault Duster is offered with a variety of engine options. There is a 1.6-liter hybrid petrol engine that comes with two electric motors and is mated to an automatic transmission. The next engine on offer is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. This engine generates around 130 PS. This version of the Duster also offers 4×4 as an optional feature. The third engine option is a 1.0-liter petrol engine that would be offered with petrol-LPG/CNG in some markets. It needs to be seen which engine options Renault will offer in India when it launches the Duster.
