Building the perfect Taycan is no easy task. If you include the pre-facelift car, there are no fewer than 18 different Taycan models and three different body styles you can pick from. When making my decision I knew I wanted a wagon (sorry, sedan people), but unfortunately you can’t get the new Taycan in Sport Turismo guise in the U.S. yet, so I had to go for the Cross Turismo. It’s okay. A little black plastic cladding never hurt anyone.
Picking the trim level was very easy, though. If I’m getting a Taycan, I’m going all out and getting the 938-hp Taycan Turbo S. Go big or go home, ya know? Anyway, that started me with a hefty-ass base price of about $214,000. That’s a lot of cash, but the Taycan Turbo S is a lot of car.
