1200 hp Chevrolet Corvette Zora spotted testing at the Nurburgring

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful Corvette ever with over 1000 hp. However, it won’t be the last. There have been reports of an even more potent version of the C8 Corvette. Dubbed the Corvette Zora, the upcoming flagship was recently spotted testing at the Nurburgring.

The Corvette Zora is believed to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 hybrid. It could have around 1200 hp, making it the new “most powerful Corvette”. The prototype seen in this video does look similar to the ZR1 though. It has the same aggressive body kit as the ZR1, with a more focused front end and a large spoiler at the back. Also, note the weird exhaust setup on this prototype.

The new ZR1 is powered by an LT7 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 featuring a flat-plane crankshaft. It generates 1064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque and revs to 8000 rpm. The Zora could use the same engine paired with an electric motor for that extra performance boost.
